The long cherished 30-year long dream is about to realize and our own Dream School is taking shape. All our kids, big and small will be able to experience and enjoy what a purpose-built school is with a host of facilities. All these are under one roof in a single location.
The Place… The location…
The new location is Al Sultana District along the King Fahad Highway moving towards the South/Batha. It is not too far away from Malaaz. Just a 15-minute drive or a 7/8 Km distance from our present location. It will be even less once the Metro and the BRT are operational. It is a 2-minute drive from the King Fahad Highway exit.
The Google coordinates are https://goo.gl/maps/FYmQ63j6JEm39ErY6
Al Sultana District is a place not like Malaaz which we have all come to call home. It is a quite place, it is a developing area with a reasonable neighborhood with the availability of apartments. The populace at present looks like a multi-cultural mix with a majority seemingly Arabs but with a sizeable mix of Asians as well.
However, we can together, convert this over time into another Sri Lankan enclave like Malaaz, lnsha Allah.
Our kids will enjoy a covered Basketball & Netball court, a mini football pitch, options for an indoor Badminton court and more than anything else, plenty of open areas for fresh air and to run-about and for outdoor activity
- There are 45 plus classrooms and administrative & office rooms spread over 3 levels.
- Adequate washrooms and toilet facilities on each floor.
- Adequate Fire-safety and emergency exit options.
- Plenty of ventilation and natural light.
How Safe is the Neighborhood…
It is a quite neighborhood with a small population unlike Malaaz. The school premises is secured by a 12 feet high boundary wall all around the premises. This will be further enhanced with a chain-link wire mesh above the parapet wall and in addition to CCTV & infrared detectors at key points.
There will be a resident Saudi Security guard and security personnel.
The BOD has and will be progressively taking all possible precautions by reviewing the situation
Why are we Shifting now … after more than 30 years
We have all been dreaming and praying, when we will have a better building with better facilities for our own kids. This was the hope of all past students, parents and PTA’s and BOD’s.
Also, the Ministry and the Authorities are compelling us to shift or move to a better equipped location and they have given a deadline.
So we have no option but to shift, and this also for the betterment of our school and our children
The Target date…..when are we shifting
The planned date for initial shifting is January 2022. The re-location will be done in a phased-out gradual manner taking into consideration the safety and security of our dear kids

This is a concern all parents have – including the BOD and PTA. Since this school has remained closed for around 2 years now (from the beginning of COVID-19), the area looks desolate simple because there was no movement of people. However, the BOD is confident that once the school is operational and the people start mingling, this will change. However, the BOD has pro-actively taken the following steps to mitigate the security aspect/risks 1. Discussed and updated the Ministry and the Authorities
2. Engaged a team of parents, staff, PTA to look into this aspect
3. Engaged with the Embassy and sought their guidance
4. Engaged with the Chief Imam of the Masjid of the Area
5. Met and discussed with the concerned Area Police officials
6. Discussion held with a security company to have 24 hours security service (in 3 shifts) with frequent mobile patrols
